Contests > Summer Contest for "The Chef Who Died Sautéing"

Name the 'Nasty Lawyer' in the second Ariel Quigley mystery,
The Lawyer Who Died Trying
!
(This is NOT the lawyer who dies in this novel!)

We are currently polishing the second Ariel Quigley mystery, The Lawyer Who Died Trying,
which is scheduled to be published in January, 2007.
If you are the summer contest winner,
we will allow you to name the 'Nasty Lawyer' who appears in this book (not the victim!),
and your name will appear on the acknowledgements page of the novel.

RULES:
All entries must be posted by August 31st at 12:00 midnight.
In the event of a tie, the winner will be chosen at random from the winning entries.

Names offered cannot be the name of a famous person,
and cannot be the name of someone you know personally.

In addition, the name must be something that a New York corporate lawyer
might actually be willing to use!
(For example, if someone were given the name Slarty Bartfast at birth,
he would probably change his name to something a bit more demure before entering law school.)

Answer the following questions, and submit your response.
The winning entry will be chosen on June 1st.

1. What goodies does Penny bring to lunch at Bernice's?

2.  Who has the car accident and where does it happen?

3. What gift does Peter give Ariel, and what does it look like?

4. What movie is Ariel watching when she falls asleep while on a date?

5. Why is the ghost in Bernice's pantry upset?

6. What is your suggested name for the "nasty lawyer?"

If you are the winner, we will ask for an address and telephone number
so that we can contact you personally,
and send you a certificate noting your contribution to the novel.
